Mgr. Hana Sezimová, Ph.D., has been an employee of the Department of Biology and Ecology at the Faculty of Science, University of Ostrava since 2007. In 1996-2007 she worked as a researcher in the Department of Biological Analysis and Biotechnology at TGM Water Research Institute, p.r.i. In 1996 she graduated with a Master's degree in Teaching general education subjects for secondary schools (chemistry-biology) at the Faculty of Science, University of Ostrava in Ostrava. In 2004, she completed the doctoral study program in Treatment at the University of Mining – Technical University of Ostrava. Her scientific activity is focused mainly on the detection of acute and chronic toxicity of environmental pollutants using indicator organisms and environmental monitoring using specific biomarkers.
