Doc. Ing. Martin Hanel, Ph.D., graduated from the Faculty of Environmental Sciences of the Czech University of Life Sciences (Ph.D. in 2010). During his postgraduate study he stayed 2 years in the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI). Since 2006 he has been an employee of the Department of Hydrology of the TGM WRI and since 2009 assistent professor and since 2014 associate professor at the Department of Water Resources and Environmental Modelling of the Czech University of Life Sciences. He is interested in extreme value analysis, climate change impact assessment and uncertainty analysis. He authored a number of publications in peer reviewed journals, monographs, guidelines and software tools. He is a principal investigator of several national research and commercial projects.
